SEEKING INPUT FROM INDIGENOUS LANGUAGE PROGRAMS
Indigenous Visioning, LLC has been contracted by Casey Family Programs, in partnership with the Center for Indian Country Development, to conduct a national inventory of American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian Language Programs that serve children. This inventory will be used to create an interactive online map of language revitalization programs for children in Indian Country. The goal of this project is to highlight the many Native language initiatives underway, funding streams they access, and their successes and challenges. Information provided through the interactive online map can be used to help expand the availability of Native language and culture-based programs throughout the country. We have modified the original language survey by adding a question on how Covid19 is affecting your efforts.
Information for this inventory will be gathered through an online survey that will identify characteristics of language immersion and revitalization programs for children and their locations. The survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. To access the survey, click on this link or copy and paste the link into a web browser: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/V6CTJBLLANGUAGESURVEY . For more information about the survey, or if you have any difficulty opening it, please contact us. Thank you for participating in the survey.
